Well, it sure has been a long time.
It's Thursday night, I'm drinking STAG beer, and wishing I was @ the Broadway Oyster Bar listening to L'il Brian and the Zydeco Travelers. I am listening to a ripped broadcast of KDHX "Howzit Bayou" right now. A homemade podcast of sorts. It's the 6th of Feb 'cast, and my favorite songs are - "Boozoo Chavis - Went to New Orleans" and "Mo Belle Creole - by Moise And Alida Viator and Eh La Bas".
It's Mardi Gras season, and I am in the doldrums. My company has co-purchased a "corporate" tent for the parade, and I am not going. Not because I cant' go, but because I wasn't invited. Mardi Gras is my thing. Oh well. I am still going down Saturday afternoon and going to hook up with my brother or invite my brother-in-law. Hell, I migh even run into my co-workers.
I did go down to the Barkus parade with my sister, Caroline, and her husband, Jeff last weekend. We met up with my brother Matt. Of course, Caroline's dog, Bailey (sometimes called Prinka-don't ask) was there. I tood JC with me, and, as they say in Louisiana, passed a good time.
Lot's has happened since my last post. We are expecting our second child in April! A boy! Yeah!
My latest kick is wanting a wood burning insert to place into my fireplace to greatly improve it's effiency. The model I want is a Osburn 1800i. I already have lot's of wood split for next heating season, although right now I wish I had it. I am freezing!
I did finish my taxes today.

Hello Monday! This weekend was my baby's 2nd birthday, and boy did we have a nice time. Saturday was a party including family and close friends. Sunday we went to the Galleria and had Julianne's (sometimes referred to as JC) ELMO doll stuffed at Build a Bear. Some Ladue junior school cheerleaders came over and sang happy birthday, and then the staff sung it as well.
Zac made an Elmo cake that looked too good to eat, and I even loved a cupcake (not much of a cake eater).

Hello old friends. I decided to restart the old blog I once had on Geocities, back before blogging was "the new thing". OK, I am not the trendsetter I sound like, but I did start blogging in March 2001.

My first post (or since I have learned pr0st) will be a rant, in true Wig style. It's my wife's shopping addiction. She is addicted to Gymboree clothes. We have over 500 outfits. Yes, five fucking hundred.
I found an article today, http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/20/pf/shopper_0508/index.htm. Seems there are others out there.
Somethign dawned on me today. One of the Gymbo forums are called Gymbo additcs. Except that website does NOTHING to help someone recover. It is instead an enabler. It smacks right in the face of a wonderful onganization that IS about true recovery. It's like saying a AA forum posts what bar is having the cheapest alcohol today.
I have a million other things I would love to talk about, but I have stuff I have to do.
